It's been a crazy past 6 weeks so I don't feel quite so bad about not updating the blog. With the fence, Aubrey & Ella's visit, Uncle Don & Aunt Bev's visit, Scott and Elizabeth Price's shower and wedding, and Baby Locke's shower, our schedule has prohibited us from updating as we should. But, better late than never I guess.
Probably some of the biggest news we have, surround naming Baby Locke. Unfortunately everyone will have to give up their nicknames of the child, but I'm sure more will arise once he is born. So, drum roll please, we're 98% positive that Baby Locke will be Price Owen Locke. Tyler doesn't want everyone to jump the gun and start getting things embroidered with the name just yet though. Until we write the name on his birth certificate will it then be finalized.
Kara and Baby Price have definitely grown over the past six weeks going from about 33 inches to approaching 37. Both Price and Kara are now enjoying the warmer weather allowing for Kara to wear the stretchy gaucho pants, wonderful maternity jeans from Aunt Aubrey, and fabulous khaki maternity shorts from Nana Kate. Kara's getting big enough though that she will soon have to break down and buy some maternity clothes on her own.
Another HUGE development came when Tyler and Grandpa Ree undertook the project of building a fence at Price's house. A lot of money and time to simply allow for Boston and Calli (our cats) to become outdoor kitties, but it will all be worth it when Baby Price gets home and the cat hair and dander aren't a factor for Price or "Grandpa" Chris Locke. The transition has been easier than Kara expected for Boston, Calli, as well as Kara. We are all enjoying the yard playtime, then retiring to our respected dwellings.
Lastly, Aunt Aubrey and a host of other wonderful friends and family members threw Baby Price a shower last Saturday. Kara and Tyler came out like bandits in the present department, and now only lack a few large items and a handful of small things to be ready for Price's delivery. We had a slew of family drive and fly great distances to be at the shower including Great Aunt Bev & Great Uncle Don from Kentucky, Aunt Aubrey and Cousin Ella from Maryland, "Aunt's" Jacque and Melissa from OKC, cousin Erin from Stillwater, but most surprisingly Grandpa and Grandma Chris and Denise from Colorado. Nobody knew they were coming, including Great Grandma Joyce, and their surprise arrival excited everyone immensely. Both Tyler and Kara would like to thank all the wonderful people who put together and attended our little baby's shower. It's friends and family like you who reassure us of how loved little Price Owen will be and already is, and not only by his parents.
There's an array of photos available below, showing the fence construction, the shower, and Baby Price's mom. Enjoy!!

I LOVE the photo sequence! If I didn't know better, I would say your belly skin is almost at capacity right now, but it can stretch WAY farther. Captain Insano!
